Sailing Training





After two months of physical training I started the sailing trainings. For my workouts I sail solo around Phuket (nearly 65 miles, 120km). I started by sailing  4h to reach gradually 24h without being tired. Every Monday and Thursday I do my turn, other days it is with the coach. The more delicate passage is maikaho, the waves are huge and at times very strong current. this is where I failed on August 27 breaking a mast.  In  few seconds I lost a tooth, the camera, my telephonne and the launch (chicken rice), here is the summary of losses. I do not have pictures because my cam had stopped working.








The waves are waiting for the "adrenaline junkies.it becomes less annoying.
The West side of phuket  is exposed to potent swell during the low season.

We brought the laser from AO Yon Nai to Yang. because I live in the north so its better for me. 



  The sea water is warm so its much more pleasant to sail, for the safety also. However, In monsoon rain showers are frequent and the visibility can be reduced to a few meters. it's really beautiful.
 After my accident in Maikao, I stopped sailing alone at night. I take the minimum of equipment. lifejacket, water and food, nothing more.


    The wind around the island is more than capricious,  we move quickly from gust of wind to flat calm
  and its the time for a forced nap. 


sailing at night with the swell is particularly tiring during the long output I stop thinking to fatigue but rather how to go faster, and sometimes I think I should take a break to eat, and I do.



In this video  I had no food  no torch and no wind. I arrived to Ao Yon at 22 pm, Adelaide rescued me with food. I slept in Chalong and very early in the morning I enjoyed a pleasant breeze to go north through patong.
